I found this on AMS, and instantly fell in love with the grain pattern on the fretboard! 2019 Ibanez BTB 1906 FNL. Two days before this video, I smacked my index knuckle with a hammer at work and got a small fracture. Fretting this hurt like hell, but I wasn't about to not play it a little!
2018 Jackson Pro Series King V KV MAH Unboxing

I bought a 2018 Jackson Pro Series King V KV MAH with factory hard case, and when the box arrived, it had a rather concerning hole in it, so I wanted to document the unboxing just in case there was damage to the guitar. Happy to say that it was unharmed in shipping, and sounds and plays amazing!

    I just discovered Death about a month ago and theyre already one of my favorite bands of all time. Chuck was a musical genius without a doubt and knew exactly which musicians to choose to achieve his vision for that specific project

    You can tell he was moving away from death metal, saying that bands were becoming too extreme and negative, and that more melody should be incorporated into songs... I like Death, especially Leprosy to Human, but it makes sense that as time went on Chuck turned it into more of a melodeath/prog/power metal thing, and that he eventually ended up doing Control Denied... Death metal for him was ironically only a phase. He would absolutely hate many of the bands out there today I would imagine, who have stayed true to the brutality and darkness of death metal, and are doing exciting new things with it, like Portal, Impetuous Ritual, Antediluvian, Altarage, Grave Upheaval, Encenathrakh, Trichomoniasis, Nithing, Effluence, Fawn Limbs, Glyptoglossio... He probably also didn't enjoy stuff like 20th century classical, free jazz, noise music, dark ambient. Basically anything intentionally "chaotic" or deeply off-putting, very chromatic, dissonant, atonal, serial, disharmonic, etcetera. Ultimately, he was a pretty traditionally musical guy, even if he wasn't into standard 4/4 pop song formats and whatnot. He was one of the originators of death metal, and one of the originators of more technical death metal, so obviously a very important person to the style nonetheless, but it is worth commenting on...

    I have a red one of these. No case though. Do you know if it'll fit in a bass case per chance? Do you have an original case or do you use something else?

    • @socialgarbage2
      @socialgarbage2 5 місяців тому

      I don't have the original case for this one, but I did get a hold of another black one that did come with the case. The original cases are really cheap and flimsy, so I have the newer one in 'one size fits all' gator case I had laying around. It does flop around in there a bit, but I don't worry about the guitar falling out of it like I did with the factory case.

    I agreed on every thing Chuck said. Specially the way he always hated and addressed the Metal Gatekeepers that are always calling everyone a poser. The reason I went it to Metal besides the music was exactly to feel free and had nobody telling me what I can or cannot listen or how to I have to dress. If that was that the case I must have as well stayed at church 😂😂

    • @Trahzy
      @Trahzy 4 місяці тому

      That's ironic, because Chuck called Atheist (the creators of progressive/jazz/technical death metal) posers back in the day. Back when he was playing verse chorus riff and singing about dying they were doing insane time signatures, writing deep philosophical lyrics and changing the game for death metal. I like a lot of Death's stuff but Chuck didn't create anything new, he just took the credit for it.

    • @JPR17
      @JPR17 4 місяці тому

      @@Trahzy must of us said stuff when it comes to be competitive. I have thw interview when he addressed that point and Pat O. Brien backed him up afterwards stating Chuck used to wear sandals in some of his shows. Chuck said he hated the labels and that we all should be united as a metal audience. Nergal from Behemoth likes Alice in Chains for example, Johan Hegg loves the rolling stones and Dimebag influence was ZZ Top. So I don't get why we make rules in a world where there are supposed to be no rules. I listen to whatever I like, I like depressive dark heavy music and many bands deliver that despite what genre they are. I really don't care been called a poser for that 🤷 when I feel something deep I don't see music in genres but in feeling and deepness. There are many artistic ways to express yourself. You have depressive black metal but there have been more suicides in grunge for example. Music is not about labels unless you are looking to be accepted by a certain group of people or peer pressure. If Chuck as given the credit, I fell sorry for Atheist, but I prefer Death all the way.

    • @Trahzy

      @JPR17 Dude you're missing my point entirely.

    • @Trahzy
      @Trahzy 4 місяці тому

      @JPR17 Early on Chuck called any band in Death metal doing something different posers, then he turned around and copied them later and says (oh it doesn't have to be a certain way). Guy was a total hypocrite and didn't do anything new. How can you feel sorry for Atheist when they're who Chuck stole from? Lol. This isn't stuff you read about online it's stuff I know from living where they all started and knowing people who actually met him. He stole people's riffs and ideas all the time and called them posers if they were doing something different, but on TV he's all nice and open to anything.

    • @Trahzy
      @Trahzy 4 місяці тому

      @JPR17 Again I'm not trashing him, I'm just saying he was a hypocrite and should've given the bands he took from credit instead of trying to act like it was all his ideas.
